Feel Lighter and Younger

Stretch Worx is a full body assisted stretching program, focusing on isolation of individual muscles, breaks up tissue glue, unwrapping the stranglehold on your posture and valuable energy. Proper stretching slows down the aging process. You can improve posture, circulation, and range of motion!

Stretch Worx provides one-on-one assisted stretching. You are stretched from head to toe, targeting every major muscle group, for a full one-hour body stretch. Assisted stretching utilizes a proactive approach to help prevent injury and alignment.

Stretching also helps with the following:

  • Increases range of motion - Stretching works with the nervous system to help your brain trust your body with greater ranges of motion over time.
  • Reduces pain and inflammation – Stretching consistently can help to avoid muscle imbalances and lower the risk for chronic injuries, such as lower back pain, sciatica, and arthritis.
  • Increases blood flow – The increase in circulation that comes from assisted stretching can help the body to heal itself and speed up recovery time.
  • Improves performance – A body that moves freely, with minimal restrictions, can get into optimal positions to produce power more efficiently.
  • Reduces stress – Stretching can relieve physical and emotional stress that can cause muscles to tighten, decrease soreness, and help to improve your mood.
  • Improves posture – The combination of stretching and strengthening specific muscle groups can reduce musculoskeletal pain and encourage proper alignment.

"I am going to be 69 in a few months. A little less than one year ago (August 19, 2023) I had a stroke. It was a relatively mild stroke compared to those who have to learn how to walk and talk all over again, but it was challenging nonetheless -4-5 months of physical, occupational and speech therapy and being reassessed for driving. In March I could drive again. My balance, coordination and strength were greatly affected. I kept doing the exercises I learned in therapy, but I felt like I needed more.

Then I met Wendy and started getting stretched. My flexibility has improved, and my strength is improving. I am more aware of my body doing stretching. I believe it helps connect my body and my brain. I believe stretching should be included in stroke recovery. I wish I knew about it sooner. I think I would have recovered at a faster pace if I was doing this in the early recovery.

Wendy is very good at challenging my body without harming it. I believe stretching will be a part of the rest of my life. Thank you Wendy."
